The LRBS pre-vocational programme is for children aged 8-11 and is a preparation for those who wish to progress to the junior vocational course. Children on this programme are asked to attend classes at least four times a week as a proper preparation for the junior vocational classes.

In common with Russian ballet education, classes begin with specific technique exercises to improve flexibility and co-ordination, class continues at the barre where the basic ballet vocabulary is learned. It is in this class that children begin to work together in unison, almost as a team, and to be more disciplined in their approach to work.
