Mr Anatoly Sidorov
We are pleased to announce that the world-famous teacher of pas-de-deux and repetiteur, Mr Anatoly Sidorov, has joined LRBS as permanent guest teacher.
Working with the school on a long-term basis, Mr Sidorov will teach both amateur and serious vocational students. He takes pleasure, along with Mr Goremykin, in motivating LRBS students to develop their technique.
LRBS is proud to welcome Mr Sidorov, knowing how much our students will benefit from being taught by a man of his expertise and experience.
Students of LRBS were honoured yesterday when Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, Principal of the Bolshoi Ballet from 1960 to 1988, People's Artist of the USSR, world famous repetiteur and Evgeny Goremykin's former teacher, friend and the school's supporter, came to watch a class.
Outreach Concert at the New Theatre at Dunraven School
Our outreach performance at the new theatre at Dunraven School went very well. The LRBS students were warmly welcomed by the children of Dunraven. The concert was opened by the beautiful Dance of Cupids from "Don Quixote", followed by several numbers from this great ballet, as well as pieces from Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and Minkus' "Bayadere". Madeleine Mansfield performed "Swan" to the touching music of Camille Saint-Saens (on the photo). Our students finished their performance with "A Scene from Ballet School" to the piece by Offenbach.
A big Thank you to all the participants, teachers, organisers and supporters!
