Evgeny Goremykin
Evgeny Goremykin was born in Moscow on 6th June 1958. He was accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet School at the age of ten. He graduated at the age of eighteen. In the course of his training and career his teachers included Galina Ulanova, Marina Semenova, Alexei Yermolaev, Raisa Struchkova, Evgeni Valukin and Boris Rachmanin.
He has performed both principal and solo roles in all the classical ballets plus Yuri Grigorovich’s original and revised choreography ballets. His career with the Bolshoi spanned over two decades and he toured in over sixty countries.
He has also worked with leading sportsmen from various disciplines. Vladimir Kotin, the ice skating European and World Champion. Sergei Krapchuk the World, European and Russian Fencing Champion. Kabanova the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Champion to name but a few.Evgeny also graduated from the Russian State Academy of Theatre and Arts in Moscow.
He came to London to establish a world class Russian Ballet school, using Russian teachers and the Russian system. The exceptional tuition he received both in school and in the theatre was inspiring. He wants to pass on this legacy to the next generation be they amateur or professional.
Evgeny teaches daily to both serious and amateur students, he teaches the Russian Workout three times a week.
Brigitte Bogomolov Korten
Brigitte Bogomolov Korten was born in Germany and was trained in Moscow at the Nesterova Academy. She danced with the Opera Theatre of Bonn. She is head of the children’s department and is tirelessly devoted to instilling the right technique early on in her young pupils. She also has a regular Sunday class for adult amateurs.
Evgeny Gerasymenko
Evgeny Gerasymenko was a pupil of Boris Rachmaninov, Honoured Artist of Russia at the Bolshoi Academy and graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts University in Moscow in choreography and teaching. He is passionately serious bout teaching and explaining technique. He teaches many of the boy’s classes.
Rachel Hernon
Rachel Hernon was born in Manchester and studied initially at Elmhurst School. She decided to audtion to train in Perm Academy at the age of 16. She completed her training with honours at the age of 19. She was accepted into the Perm theatre but later returned to London to train with Evgeny Goremykin. She has performed a variety of the ballerina classical roles, including Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Pavillion d'Armide, Dying Swan, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. She has been teaching the vocational girl's classes. She works from the Russian syllabus and the girls training are given the same programme as close as possible to that which they would receive in a Russian vocational school.
